Our Statement on Coronavirus (COVID-19) & How It Will Affect Residents of Chicagoland
February 9, 2024
We at Perfect Home Services pride ourselves on being part of the communities we serve. Since our opening in 1992, we have established and upheld industry-leading standards and superior customer service. In light of COVID-19, we would like to take this opportunity to share with you some of the policies and procedures that Perfect Home Services has in place to protect the health and safety of you, our customer, and our team. As well as how the pandemic is affecting Illinois residents.
The current state of the pandemic in the Chicagoland area
- 228 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Illinois as of 3/19/20
- Public health officials have announced the first Coronavirus death in Illinois
- Over 200 events & locations have been closed until further notice. Including libraries, festivals, museums, schools & stadiums
- 2nd Chicago firefighter tested positive for the Coronavirus
- 46 people from a nursing home in Dupage County have tested positive for the Coronavirus
- A shelter-in-place order has been issued for Oak Park Residents
With new cases popping up each and every single day, our greatest fear is that we will not be able to get to customers during a full quarantine should this happen. Oak Park, thankfully enough, allows for certain companies to still serve customers in need. But with other cities & villages, we might not be so lucky as the virus progresses.
Our Policies and Procedures
- We have added sanitizing stations in our trucks
- We are assembling safety kits for techs that include face masks, rubber gloves, and shoe covers
- We have limited all non-essential travel for all employees for the next 30 days
- We have limited access to our facility to personnel only. The majority of our office staff is working from home.
- We have discontinued all large gathering events for the next 30 days.
- We are sanitizing our facility 2x a day
- We have built-in technological and facility redundancy to ensure we can operate through any environmental challenge to allow us to be here for you
- Our advanced phone system allows everyone in the call center to work remotely creating no interruption in service to our customers
- Closely monitor and adapt recommendations and guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO)
We encourage our team members, customers, and community to:
- Dry hands with paper towels instead of cloth towels
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
- Stay home if sick or showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Cover nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing with disposable tissues and then wash hands
- Closely monitor and adapt recommendations and guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO)
Due to the Coronavirus, we’re also experiencing record-high appointments booked for April & May as most residents do not want to potentially endanger themselves with the virus. If you are in need of work, please choose a company that has a plan in place to mitigate the dangers of the virus. Please know that the wellness and safety of our team and customers continues to be our top priority. We also encourage you to continue choosing Perfect Home Services for your home service needs. We appreciate your loyalty and trust as a valued customer. We exist to keep you comfortable.
