Summary: Get a second opinionWe had PHS come out and take a look at our 4 year old furnace. The system would intermittently shutdown during the winter months. On two occasions, a pair of technicians came out and took a look, trying to diagnose the problem. Understandably, intermittent issues may be hard to find and they were very kind and professional about the situation, offering possible causes and solutions. It wasn't until a more experienced technician came out did we have an official diagnosis of overheating resulting in a cracked heat exchanger. Furthermore, he pointed to a sticker on the side of the unit suggesting that the system was sold and installed as a "dent and scratch" voiding all warranties. This includes the heat exchanger, that of which we were told could not be replaced anyways. He was kind enough, however, to call the manufacturer for us and confirm that the system was in fact a "dent and scratch". He came back later with the bad news saying the whole system needed to be replaced (including the 4 year old air conditioner) and condemned the furnace because of the heat exchanger. He was eager to get the designer out right away to quote us for a new system.The problem? I called the manufacturer the next day using the phone number listed on that sticker. I gave the lady the serial number and she gave me the good news. That sticker has nothing to do with it being a "dent and scratch" and the heat exchanger can be replaced. In fact, the heat exchanger has a 20 year warranty and the whole system is still unter warranty for another year.I did my due diligence and contacted two more companies to take a look at the furnace. Both companies confirmed the heat exchanger was fine and would not recommend replacement.Moral of the story, get a second opinion. Based on the reviews of this company I'm sure they do great work. I understand things can be misdiagnosed especially with an intermittent problem like this one. But don't lie to us. This left a bad taste in our mouths about the industry and won't be using them again. A simple phone call saved us a lot of money.

I recently hired Perfect Home Services (PHS) to move water and sewer lines for a kitchen remodel. The plumber was friendly and gave me an estimate that was agreeable for the work discussed. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a garbage disposal, but he included it in the estimate anyway saying that it could be removed if I decided not to get the disposal. Before the work started I called PHS to let them know I decided to not include the disposal and could I get an updated estimate. They agreed, however I never received the estimate. The plumber arrived in a timely manner to start the work. We reviewed everything again for about an hour, then he left for an hour and a half to get supplies. I thought it was strange that he didn't have anything he needed since he estimated job in advance. After forty five minutes he left again to get a drill bit to drill bigger hole for pipes. He returned and worked for a couple of hours then left around 3 pm for the day saying he would be back the next day.The next day I received the text letting me know the plumber was on his way. Two and a half hours later, still no plumber. Called the PHS main number, they said they would check his status and get back to me. I never received a status update, but the plumber finally arrived and worked for about four hours then left for the day. Before leaving he asked for payment. I noticed the garbage disposal was still included on the bill (FURNISH AND INSTALL 3/4 HP DISPOSAL, $1,857). He removed $1,019 from the bill, but left the remaining $838 to be paid.The job was quoted to be completed in one day. Now, two days in (maybe about eight hours of actual work) and not sure how many more days it will take, I need to schedule another day at home. I can’t be available for another week so we schedule to finish the following week. That night I find a leak in the new hot water pipe line that was installed and put a bucket under it. It is leaking about half a gallon and hour. So I get a bigger bucket and hope my new carpet doesn’t get flooded overnight. 7:50 am the next morning I call PHS to let them know about the leak. They said they would get someone assigned to fix the leak. 10:30 am I call again. The first call was never logged, but they reassured me they would get someone out to fix the leak. 12:40 pm I call again to be assured someone will be out to fix the leak. 3:30 pm Christopher arrives to literally save the day. He fixes the leak and stays six more hours to fix the remaining plumbing that was incomplete. Christopher gets FIVE STARS and my unending gratitude. Thanks to Christopher I have a functioning kitchen again. Not so happy with the rest of the PHS employees.

Typical spring remove cover from outside unit. Shown photo of inside of outside unit with capacitor that was leaking and had corroded wires, required replacing.A/C ready for summer cooling with minor hiccup. Was cheaper than replacing entire system.Temperature in house, 64, meant go from cooling to heating. Thermostat that was slightly more than 1 yr old would not activate.Keith came by and it did the same for him. He then got a replacement unit and after it activated was in working order. House is now at comfortable temp and coats can be set aside.Keith indicated to watch it for a few days and if not working at time of scheduled maintenance visit, he will take care of it.Fall tune-,upMike began by inquiring how system was running, was zI experiencing any problems, informed him of recent thermostat failure, and any concerns.He then went to work on system and only time I saw him was when he reset the temperature. Next time I saw hi was when job was finished. He put cover on AC Units then wrote hi is report.He returned with stack of photos and recommendations. A thorough job and helpful recommendations.oPersons inspecting my solar installation noted smell of gas in basement. Nicor tech identified 3 places at water and one in dryer supply where leaks occurring.PHS tech replaced shut off in gas line to dryer as original was in place since 1980!PHS tech replaced T-fitting, elbow and union in line supplying water heater.PHS tech also recommended replacing pump tank adjunct to laundry sink because pump has twisted and jammed float switch causing pump to run constantlyDeferred later repair owing to timing and cost issues.Water heater had been installed in May of 2022 and apparently the connections were not adequately tightened. Bummer, because these leaks could have led to more serious problem,

Just replaced the furnace, AC and humidifier- the workers were really nice and looks like they did a great job, and that is really the most important thing. From an administrative side it is hard to get questions answered or accurate follow up, almost too automated for my taste. Not a big deal but a bit frustrating. The employees are very nice and polite they are just lacking a few efficiencies. So far the system seems to be working great -time will tell - but overall really happy with their work.

Today, "Chris" came out and replaced the faucet and water line connections in our kids bathroom sink. He was very knowledgable and friendly. He also walked around our 3 bathrooms and gave me other suggestions for the future with no pressure at all.We have used Perfect Home a number of times including a light fixture replacement, a new furnace, ac unit, and water heater.

Taha was a personable and knowledgeable technician. He checked both our heating and cooling systems thoroughly. We had him clean the blower wheel and then seal the unit to prevent dust build up. He also removed unnecessary screws that impeded the insertion of the filter. He explained everything thoroughly including how a different type of filter could be better. I didn't quite remember Todd but he recognized me and my home right away from a previous visit.Once Todd entered my home and went to work, then I remembered him, his professionalism and attention to detail. Todd is one of the best service specialist to have ever come into my home. They arrived promptly the next day. Even though out furnace was not operational we still made it through the night with portable heaters. Unfortunately when they diagnosed our furnace, financially it was beyond repair. They quoted a new furnace and by 7pm had installed it and the house was warm again. 😊 Nice warranty too. Great job and they cleaned up after themselves and removed the old furnace.

I can highly recommend this company and the way the furnace and air conditioning were installed. The installers were very good. As they worked and when they finished any questions we had were answered by them. They were careful in our home and cleaned up when done. This is the way that I feel about how these installers did the work at my home. I will now have a good furnace and air to meet the weather conditions. The maintenance inspection was done 2 years later and the checkup that was done was also very complete and any questions I had were answered.We just had our home ductwork cleaned and can highly recommend this service from Perfect Home Services. This was also done very well and any questions I had were answered. We also have home checkups for the plumbing, furnace and air conditioner.

I have used Perfect Home Services several times over the past few years and their services were great. I also provided them with good reviews for the quality of their work in the past, but the quality of their services lately has not been the same.The Technician that recently came out to perform the annual Furnace check up was inexperienced and caused more issues than what I can list out in this review. To make matters worse when I called customer services/support and asked questions on what were the next steps on what I needed to do to address all issues that were noted by the Technician no one ever called me back with responses.I have spent too much time with follow up calls with no one to answer the questions that I have on next steps forward. I lost trust in Perfect Home Services as I don't know if the noted issues were real, or if the Technician is just trying to up sale me products and services that I don't need.Unfortunately I won't be doing business anymore with Perfect Home Services. They have changed a lot from when I started doing business with them many years ago.

The technician was very good but scheduling an appointment was extremely difficult. Perfect Home Services canceled twice and then 4-5 weeks later scheduled the tuneup for 8am- 12pm. The tech did not arrive until 4pm. Poor scheduling and poor communication with the tech and with the customer. Very inconsiderate of the customer’s life. Very disappointing!

We had a heating system installed and our unit required horizontal installation. The heat exchanger was not properly installed and now we have excess condensation rusting parts of the furnace. Recent maintenance inspection revealed the installation error and we were told the company would reinstall the unit. After 3 months of calling and not getting called back, our unit is still not repaired. Beyond frustrated and angry. Do not recommend Perfect Home. They do not follow through!

We had an emergency plumbing issue where there was an inch of water in our basement. As VIP members we called Perfect homes for their emergency plumbing services. We got on the schedule and told us they would come soon. After two hours of waiting we called back and found out that there were two other jobs before us. We didn't cancel our appointment but knew that there would be more damage if we waited.As a result, we called another plumbing company who arrived at our house within the hour. Before they arrived, two different plumbers called to talk through the problem, which Perfect Homes doesn't do. You just speak to the 3rd party calling service. When the other company arrived, they diagnosed the problem, fixed it and gave us recommendations for a water restoration company. We called the restoration company and also arrived within the hour.While the water restoration company was at our house, we finally received the call that a plumber from Perfect Homes would arrive in 30-40 minutes. We received the call 7 hours after our original call.Unfortunately this is not the first issue with Perfect Homes Emergency services and this treatment is pretty standard. When we first joined the VIP membership, Perfect Homes Service was exceptional! Unfortunately, the service we received today is now what we expect. The call center and communication to the technicians is a huge issue. We still receive exceptional services from the technicians and plumbers but it's now hard to get appointments, especially if it's an emergency. I'm out experience , if you have an emergency it's better to call someone else.

I’ve had occasion to use two of your services The furnace work was superb. The two gentlemen were just fantastic. They worked and worked and worked. Did the furnace and the air conditioner in one day then my hot water heater broke and the plumber came out Brian and he was just super he came came. It was late afternoon when he came. He also stayed and got my got the hot water heater. Got me a new one hooked up ready to go took a shower when he Left. I’m very pleased with your company also, I had the occasion to meet Randy. He gave me the price on the heating and cooling spot on nice gentleman.

We continue to be very happy with Perfect Home. This time Frank Guzman came out for the annual furnace checkups (we have two) and service (none was needed!). Frank was personable, efficient and knowledgeable He answered my questions and took the time necessary to explain anything I wanted to know about—just like all the other techs we have had for prior work over the years (plumbing and AC, as well as heating). Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Frank! And because we are enrolled in the VIP program this visit cost $0 as everything was good with the furnaces. That’s a good deal we recommend.

Brian the plumber from Perfect Home Services came out and did an awesome job for me rodding out my drain pipes. They were backing up from the sinks in the basement from the upper floors. Everything is all good now. And he recommended doing a bio treatment every few months to keep the build up at bay. I would recommend Brian to anyone I know. I have had work done for our hvac and had great results as well.
